Trumpet in Church
Music Ideas

Churches are a great place for playing the trumpet.  Trumpet music can be used as solos for preludes, offertories, and postludes.  Trumpets also work well to accompany hymns. Playing descant lines on one or more verses of a hymn can add a nice touch.

Below is a list of music that I have collected over the years for playing at churches.  Any suggestions for addtions to this list are welcome.  There is also a list of trumpet Descant collections.

From Humility to Hallelujah, music for Holy Week arranged by John Head and Sue Mitchell-Wallace.  Also, two collections of wedding music and a collection of Christmas music from these two, are all highly recommended.
